Carlson is a contestant from Survivor: The Australian Outback. Despite being a quieter member of his tribe, Carlson began working behind the scenes, finding partnerships with both Alia and Chelsie. Carlson used his tribes dysfunctional ways to work his way to the top, removing weaker members who held little loyalty towards him. Despite generally doing little wrong, Carlson found himself often clashing with Reniero, who claimed that Carlson was "dangerous" as he mirrored the gameplay of a previous contestant. Despite ending up in the minority at the merge, losing one of his closest allies in the process, Carlson's frail exterior worked to his advantage, as the other tribe failed to see him as a viable threat. Carlson eventually found himself in the majority, somewhat responsible for getting Victor to switch allegiances. At the final five, Carlson's allies eventually noticed he was running the game, but discovered that they had waited too long to make a move, allowing Carlson to slip his way into the final two, where he became the second Sole Survivor, beating Alia in a 6-1 vote.
