"Alternate Returning Players"
Description	Alternate players who were considered but not cast for a particular season as a returning player.

Alternate Returning Players are past contestants who were considered to return for a particular season, but were either cut from the cast, didn't respond to the invite, were simply considered, or declined the offer. These castaways may well have been selected to return again for a different season, where they may have been apart of the final cast.

Due to a majority of seasons being generated years prior to being written up in full, it is common for some choices to seem surprising. This list features all those considered to play again whilst being generated, regardless of how they may have fared after being written up in full. Fictionalised reasons may be given to explain an individuals absence from a season they were considered to be apart of.

All Stars

The season featured eighteen "All Stars" returning from the first seven seasons of the show. It was taken into account that Pearl Islands would have filmed just prior to the filming of All Stars, making it less likely for certain players from the season to return straight away.
